The
Windows system contains many tools that make dealing easier and better for
those who suffer from poor eyesight or problems in their ability to see, or
even for those who have huge screens and find it difficult when reading texts
and thus it is difficult to control the device. For example, if you do not see
the mouse pointer clearly, there is an option in Windows to change the size and
color of the mouse pointer. Also, if you do not see the images clearly, there
is a Magnifier tool that acts as a magnifying glass on any part of the screen.
But if the texts are small and not easy to read, or the font is difficult to
see because of the large dimensions of the screen; You can adjust Windows 11
settings and change the size of texts according to your needs, here's how.
You do
not need to download and install additional programs on the device to enlarge
the text size in Windows 10, all you have to do is open the Settings
application from the Start menu or press the Win + I keys together on the
keyboard, then go to the "Accessibility" section from the side menu,
Then on the right side, click on "Text size" to find the Text Size
slider in front of you, which allows you to control the size of the text.
You can
drag the circle on the slider to the right to gradually enlarge the text, which
should bring up a "Text size preview" that gives you an idea of what
the text size will look like at that level. Generally, drag the circle until it
reaches the appropriate level where the preview text becomes easy to read for
you. Then click the "Apply" button to apply the changes immediately
by increasing the text size in Windows. You don't need to restart the device or
even log out.
Whether
your computer has a large, high-resolution screen, or you have poor eyesight
and have difficulty reading text clearly, it should now be easier to interact
with Windows. Note, however, that the "Text size" option does not
affect the entire Windows system, only text will be large on the title bars of
windows, as well as menus, icons, and a few other items. Most Windows
applications will be affected by these changes, and the text in them will be
large, such as the Settings application, the File Explorer tool, even the
options menus, and other programs, including those installed by the user.
However,
in the interface of some programs, the font is still small and not clear to
read, but only the title bar appears large. Even the Control Panel in Windows
was not affected by the changes I made through the Text size option. As can be
seen from the image: the address bar, path and search fields, and directives
are large, but the content of the tools themselves is in small font.
Fortunately,
you can also solve this problem by enlarging the text in general in every
element of Windows or programs, including the icons and not just the text. To
do this, go to the System section in the Settings application, then click on
“Display” on the right side, after that in front of the “Scale” option, click
on the menu and then choose the percentage of increasing the text size, whether
it is 25%, 50%, or 75% greater than the current size. Once you make a selection
from the list, the changes will take effect. You should now see the text
clearly in anything displayed on the screen in Windows, including applications
and programs.
